The tiles were installed by the homeowner, and our role was to transform them. We started by deep cleaning the grout joints, filling them with a custom color-matched resin, then grinding, honing, polishing, and sealing the entire surface to bring out a seamless, high-gloss finish. Precast terrazzo brings timeless beauty to your home—without the mess.

In this video, we take you inside a large-scale quartz restoration project at a student dormitory where we restored 84 severely damaged quartz tabletops. As you might expect, student housing isn’t always gentle on surfaces—these quartz tops had lost their shine, their original appearance, and were left in dull, heavily abused condition. To bring them back to life, we used the RinovaPad diamond refinishing system, progressing through grits 1, 2, 3, and 4. From there, we transitioned to the Bonastre pad system to refine the surface and restore a beautiful, high-gloss finish. We sealed every top afterward—because yes, quartz should be sealed despite the common misconception that it doesn’t need it. This project reflects what Pinnacle is all about: no shortcuts, no excuses—just passion, precision, and pride in every material we work with, whether it’s quartz, marble, terrazzo, or anything in between. This video showcases our journey restoring the terrazzo floors of the Serbian Orthodox Church, bringing them back to their original beauty and elegance. The process began with grinding off the top layer of the terrazzo to expose the surface and reveal all the damaged areas, including holes left from old carpet nails. Each damaged spot was carefully patched and color-matched to blend seamlessly with the existing terrazzo. After patching, we continued grinding the floor to create a smooth and even surface, followed by an intensive honing process to refine the finish. Finally, we polished the terrazzo to a high gloss, sealed it for protection, and burnished it to enhance the shine and durability. Pinhole Filling: We began by meticulously filling in all the pinholes and small imperfections across the terrazzo surface using a specially mixed resin. These pinholes are a natural part of the terrazzo, and filling them ensures a smooth and even surface, preparing the floor for the honing and polishing stages. Removing Excess Resin: Once the resin had set, our team carefully removed the excess material. This step is essential to achieve a level surface, blending the repairs seamlessly with the existing terrazzo. The attention to detail in this phase lays the foundation for a flawless final finish. Honing Process: Next, we started the honing process, moving from 200 grit all the way to 3500 grit to gradually refine the terrazzo surface. When faced with stubborn coatings and uneven surfaces, dry grinding becomes the best (and sometimes the only) solution in terrazzo restoration.

✅ Removing tough coatings – Some coatings are so resilient that wet grinding isn’t enough to break them down. Dry grinding allows us to strip away those layers efficiently.

✅ Achieving better flatness – Terrazzo floors aren’t always as level as they should be. When a surface needs extra flattening, dry grinding provides more aggressive material removal to bring it back to a uniform plane.

It’s a dusty, precision-driven process, but when done right, the results speak for themselves. After the dry grind, we transition into finer honing and polishing steps to bring out the terrazzo’s natural beauty.
