In this video, we take you inside a large-scale quartz restoration project at a student dormitory where we restored 84 severely damaged quartz tabletops. As you might expect, student housing isn’t always gentle on surfaces—these quartz tops had lost their shine, their original appearance, and were left in dull, heavily abused condition.

To bring them back to life, we used the RinovaPad diamond refinishing system, progressing through grits 1, 2, 3, and 4. From there, we transitioned to the Bonastre pad system to refine the surface and restore a beautiful, high-gloss finish. We sealed every top afterward—because yes, quartz should be sealed despite the common misconception that it doesn’t need it.

This video showcases our journey restoring the terrazzo floors of the Serbian Orthodox Church, bringing them back to their original beauty and elegance.

The process began with grinding off the top layer of the terrazzo to expose the surface and reveal all the damaged areas, including holes left from old carpet nails. Each damaged spot was carefully patched and color-matched to blend seamlessly with the existing terrazzo.

After patching, we continued grinding the floor to create a smooth and even surface, followed by an intensive honing process to refine the finish. Finally, we polished the terrazzo to a high gloss, sealed it for protection, and burnished it to enhance the shine and durability.

This restoration was about more than just the floors—it was about preserving the sacred space of a historic church. Witness the transformation and the dedication that went into restoring these timeless terrazzo floors.

This beautiful church in Chicago suburbs had its original terrazzo floor and marble since the beginning without any restoration done to it. Flooring had lots of wax, scratched, damages, broken, cracked marble that we repaired and restored. The terrazzo floors are cement based beautifully installed terrazzo that will overcast this building if taken care of in a high way. We restored theses terrazzo floors by diamond refinishing process, even without verification. The final result is a gorgeous glass-like finish of terrazzo floor with protected sealed surface and all the needed repairs done.

The Power of Dry Grinding in Terrazzo Restoration

Sometimes, wet grinding just won’t cut it.

When faced with stubborn coatings and uneven surfaces, dry grinding becomes the best (and sometimes the only) solution in terrazzo restoration.

✅ Removing tough coatings – Some coatings are so resilient that wet grinding isn’t enough to break them down. Dry grinding allows us to strip away those layers efficiently.

✅ Achieving better flatness – Terrazzo floors aren’t always as level as they should be. When a surface needs extra flattening, dry grinding provides more aggressive material removal to bring it back to a uniform plane.

It’s a dusty, precision-driven process, but when done right, the results speak for themselves. After the dry grind, we transition into finer honing and polishing steps to bring out the terrazzo’s natural beauty.
