From a young age, I pursued art school, where I learned the importance of precision, composition, and attention to detail—skills that later became fundamental in my approach to restoration. At the same time, I was deeply committed to sports, playing professional baseball and representing my country as a national team member. My dream was to play baseball in America, and while that path didn’t fully materialize, the discipline, perseverance, and passion I developed in sports carried over into my professional life.

Understanding Stone from the Inside Out

My journey with stone started in granite countertop fabrication, where I gained hands-on experience in grinding, cutting, shaping, and polishing stone. This period was crucial in helping me understand stone from the inside out, as I learned how to create edge details, repair imperfections, and refine surfaces. Working with raw stone, shaping its edges, and bringing out its natural beauty gave me a deep technical understanding that later became the foundation of my approach to stone and terrazzo restoration.

But beyond the technical skills, this experience gave me something even greater—a vision. I realized that I didn’t just want to work with stone; I wanted to protect it, refine it, and elevate it with craftsmanship and integrity. This passion led me to go out on my own, to build something that reflected my values. I didn’t want to be limited by industry shortcuts and careless methods—I wanted to create a business where I could be an artist, a guide, and a steward of stone surfaces, treating them with the respect they deserve. That’s when Pinnacle Stone Restoration was born—a company that gave me the freedom to do things the right way.

These methods are like using steroids on an athlete—they temporarily enhance the appearance, but in the long run, they weaken the material and accelerate its deterioration.
