This epoxy-based terrazzo floor had numerous scratches, scuff marks, extensive wear and tear after heavy usage and high traffic for a long period of time. This can use a terrazzo floor restoration.
TERRAZZO FLOOR STRIPPING
We protect the working area and begin with the first step of terrazzo floor restoration - terrazzo floor stripping. In this step we remove previously applied acrylic polymer sealer.
Terrazzo floor has to be stripped and free of any coatings before refinishing process begins.
TERRAZZO HONING PROCESS
We begin grinding terrazzo floor with 100 grit level diamond pads. The floor machines are not able to reach all the way to the edge of the floor.
We hand grind all the floor edges to ensure even results throughout the entire terrazzo surface.
TERRAZZO FLOOR POLISHING AND SEALING
We gradually progress to finer grits. We use higher grit diamond polishing pads for achieving mirror-like finish. We work on edges by hand.
In these final steps we clean and seal terrazzo floors.
We use high-speed burnisher to give terrazzo a brilliant shine.
The results are fantastic, and terrazzo looks just like brand new.
